X (@MecchaChameleon) – Developers have released a new statement clarifying the recent security incident, assuring players that the game itself remains 100% safe and virus-free.
According to the developers, the incident was not caused by the game or its files. Instead, it stemmed from a single administrator’s Discord account being compromised while investigating the previously reported malicious mod map.
The team says malware infected a testing PC, allowing an attacker to bypass Discord’s 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication), seize control of their server, and remove the development team from the server.
⚠️ Players are being warned not to trust the compromised Discord server. The developers say whoever currently controls the server may continue posting fake announcements, malicious links, or invitations to fraudulent servers.
